Devlog 02: Preproduction


In this week our team finished our game's artbible & tech document, we also finished our game design model on HacknPlan.

We worked on the assets workflow and made our shader.

Artbible

The artists on our team finished the artbible this week. The artbible is a document that describes and explains our game's artstyle.

This includes: Mood board, Art style, Color palette, Shapes, Proportions, Textures, Lighting, Composition, RFX & the games HUD/UI.

If an artist joins our group to work on the game he/she should be able to know immediately what everything should look like.



Tech Document

Our team's tech doc explains every technical aspect of our game, from  explaining what software we'll use to folder structure and naming conventions for our files.

HacknPlan Design Model

The HacknPlan design model is an in-depth explanation of all our games features and mechanics, the goal of this design model is that so if we'd get a new team member they can read this design model and be filled in on what our game is about and what the goal should be for every feature.

Upcoming plans

Our upcoming plans for next week is filling in our backlog on HacknPlan, thinking of every single tasks we can do and thinking on how long those tasks will take. Our backlog will be categorized in 4 parts: Planned tasks, In progress, Testing & Completed.

We will also continue gameplay prototyping in unreal engine. As well as creating assets to use in our game.
